Abstract

These study was evaluated of value form high speed breath-hold 12 weighted magnetic resonance(MR) sequence with comparison of the exam between the T2 weighted images and thallium-201 SPECT for the acute myocardial infarction patients.
Case all patients, the high signal areas of infracted myocardium shown on the MR images corresponded well to the infarct-related territories determined by coronary angiography and electrocardiography. The concordance rate of MR imaging diagnosis for detection of infracted segments to the thallium-201 SPECT was 85%.
As a result, breath-hold turbo spin echo T2 weighted MR images clinically one of the highlight methods in the acute myocardial infarction exam, and it offers high quality images with a clear anatomic reference in a very short scan time. Also two type methods are prescribe very similar effect to myocardial infarction.
